5 Activities to Rekindle and Reconnect | Indoor Date Night

When did romance become so freaking complicated. Sometimes I feel like people, myself included, forget how simple and affordable romance can be. A romantic grand gesture doesn’t require tons of money, just initiative and creativity. In recognition of Valentine's day, I wanted to share 5 cute activities couples can do together at home. I'm all for a night out on the town, but let's be real it's not always possible. Sometimes the funds department is low or the sitter department is tapped out, but that shouldn't prevent the romance from happening. If you're looking for fancy gift or date night ideas, then this probably isn’t post for you, but if you’re looking for simple ways to reconnect and rekindle on a budget and at home, then keep on reading.

1. Cook and Eat Dinner Together

Have a late dinner with just the two of you. Take the time to cook, talk, and eat together with no distractions (no cellphone, no TV, and no kids). The Date Night In: More than 120 Recipes to Nourish Your Relationship may be a good resource for planning your special dinner for two.

2. Play a Game Together

This activity is a little more on the fun side, but equally as romantic. What better way to connect with your partner than working together and laughing it up. The Big Activity Book For Couples is something new to try.

3. Write Love Notes to Each other

Get a cute little notebook or on a simple piece of paper write 10 reasons why you love your partner and share them with one another. These Reasons I Love You notebooks are a perfect little keepsake to remind you of all the things that make your heart skip a beat when you think of your partner.

4. Give a Massage

Nothing says I love you like a hand, back, and foot rub. This Sensual Massage oil may just do the trick. You'll thank me later.

5. Take Bath Together

Turn on the slow jams, light some candles, pop some champagne and spread some rose pedals. Mr Pro. Flora Scented Bath Soap Rose Flowers to be exact.

Trust me when I say some much needed me time at home with your boo can make such a positive impact on a relationship. Remember that romance doesn't have to be expensive or fancy. So the next time you're on a budget, but really need a date night pull out one of these activities or all of them and create a night to remember.

Happy Loving,

Dadi
