How Sidney and Dee Came to Be

My husband and I met over a decade ago through our church youth group. When I first met him I wasn't interested in being anything more than friends( because I had a crush on his friend), but little did I know he would end up being the one I couldn't live without. After a while he stole my heart with his infectious personality, his sweetness, and his ability to always make me laugh, oh how he can make me laugh (his deep dimples weren't to bad either). Of course he wouldn't make the first move (because he thought I was out of his league, yea right), so I wrote him a letter telling him how much I liked him. After he knew how I felt he asked me to be his girl.

Funny story about the day we made it official. I was on the phone with him and he asked me those magical five words, "will you be my girlfriend?" As soon as I said yes, he put me on hold. Later on he told me that he had put me on hold to break up with a girl he was seeing at the time. So if you think about it I was technically a whole side piece out here in these streets for like two minutes. LMBO! Okay, now back to your regularly scheduled program.

While I went away to College we maintained a long distance relationship for over four years. That time was so unbearable as our only life line to one another were visits here and there and phone calls. We spoke on the phone and texted each other every single day, but it was never enough. A year after my graduation, after five years of unbearable long distance , we decided enough was enough and eloped at the courthouse on January 27th, 2012. Later that year we had a Ceremony and Reception to celebrate with family and friends. Almost 6 years of marriage and two children later we are still kicking and laughing out loud. I'm so lucky that I get to do life with him, my best friend in the whole freaking world, and I'm excited to keep writing the pages of our story together! Love you babe!
