Giselle and Alex | Barnwell, South Carolina Sweetwater Country Club Wedding

Home. It’s where you feel the most comfortable and the most welcomed. Home is where you find the joy, the laughter, and the tears. But most of all home is where the heart is, where the family is, and all good food is! Giselle and Alex's wedding weekend took place in the sweet small town of Barnwell, South Carolina. The weekend festivities started with the rehearsal followed by the rehearsal dinner Backyard BBQ at Alex's family home. There was music, food, family, and friends and what you would call sweet southern hospitality. In this home there was comfort and warmth and this home there was love. On the day of the wedding the theme of weekend continued as everyone came together to celebrate Giselle and Alex's union. The colors all white with accents of grey and silver. The style simple and elegant. The vibe laid back and fun. The joyful church ceremony warmed my heart as I watched Giselle and Alex smile from ear to ear with excitement to finally start this chapter of their lives together. The elegant reception took place at the beautiful Sweetwater Country Club and was nothing less than amazing. As the night went on family and friends from both sides danced the night away, I could feel the reception hall dance floor transform and into that backyard BBQ. I could feel it transform into a home where secrets were told about Alex's childhood. Tears were shed from heart felt speeches by Giselle's bridesmaids. Advice was given by parents of wisdom and encouragement. And jokes were told by uncles and cousins that filled the room with laugh out loud's. I can still hear the laughter. Still see the smiles. And I can still feel the hugs. If home is where the heart is, then home was surrounded by Giselle and Alex on their beautiful day and I am so grateful that I got to visit and experience what home feels like for them.
